Hearing in Punjab Wakf Board case adjourned to Sept 28
Chandigarh, Sep 25 (UNI) The hearing on the writ petition filed by Congress MLA from Malerkotla constituency of Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Ms Razia Sultana, seeking directions to the Punjab Government against interfering in the functioning of the Wakf Board, was today adjourned to September 28 as the state government sought time for filing the reply.
Ms Sultana has alleged interference on the part of the state authorities in regard to properties and financial affairs of the board and sought directions to restrain them from doing so.
In this context, she has referred to notification vide which restrictions were sought to be imposed on the board.
