Tirupati, Sep 25 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has started a five-day training programme for temple priests in Andhra Pradesh to spread awareness on religious customs, tradition and performance of poojas.
Imparted by senior priests of the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala, the training programme would be held at Sri Venkateswara Employees Training Academy (SVETA) here today.
The five-day programme was inaugurated by TTD Executive Officer K V Ramanachary.
In his address, Mr Ramanachary said the programme would serve as a good opportunity for archakas to learn more about Hindu customs, exchange views and seek clarifications.
After the Navaratri Brahmotsavams, the TTD would send letters to Endowment Departments of other states inviting archakas to take part in the programme which would be held in batches.The entire expenditure would be borne by the TTD, he said.
