Puducherry, Sep 25 (UNI) The AIADMK here today assailed DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi for the move to organise a bandh on the Sethusamudram Shipping Canal Project (SSCP).
In a resolution adopted at the office-bearers meeting of the party , the AIADMK maintained the bandh call was to divert the attention of the people, particularly the Hindus, whose sentiments were hurt by Mr Karunanidhi's remarks on Lord Ram.
Another resolution urged the Union Government to dismiss Ministers from Tamil Nadu, as sought by Party Supremo J Jayalalithaa.
The AIADMK also demanded the resignation of Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy owning moral responsibility for the alleged corruption at the Government Medical College under construction.
It was not fair for Mr Rangasamy to continue in office even after Party Parliament Member V Narayansamy complained on the issue to the Lt Governor and the Chief Minister seeking a CBI inquiry.
Resolutions urging the territorial administration to get 50 per cent of the seats at the Centrally-administered JIPMER Hospital here for local students and dismissal of the Mannadipet Commune Panchayat President, who lost majority, were also adopted at the meeting.
