Women winners to attend Kalesar camp: Kiran Choudhry

Chandigarh, Sep 24 (UNI) Haryana Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs Kiran Choudhry today announced that the sportswomen who had bagged the first positions in different games held at the 21st Haryana Rajya Mahila Khel Utsav would attend a camp at Kalesar where they would be imparted necessary knowledge regarding eco-balance.

While giving away the prizes on the concluding day of the sports festival at Panchkula today, she congratulated the winners and participants for showing their best sports skills during the meet.

She said the sportswomen from the state had been contributing and had emerged as winners at various national and international sports events.

She said each sportswoman who had brought laurels to the state in various sports events at national and international levels would get cash prizes and her respective village would be declared as Model Village.

She urged the players and the sports officials to come forward and give feedback about the various sports policies and schemes which were run by the government so that they could be improved for providing better facilities to the players of the state.

In the sports festival, 2400 sportswomen participated from all the districts of the State in 13 different games. The Overall Champions Trophy was bagged by Bhiwani district and Jind district bagged the first runners up trophy and Hisar bagged the second runners trophy in this sports festival.
