Mumbai, Sep 24: Spot silver and gold today rose by Rs 90 per kg and Rs 30 per ten gm respectively on fresh demand, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.
Pure gold also hiked by Rs 30 per ten gm from it's last close, traders said.
According to reports from Tokyo, Gold firmed on Monday as the Dollar held near a record low against the Euro but gains could be limited because of the absence of Japanese players.
Spot gold rose to USD 733.50/734.20 an ounce from USD 731.60/732.40 late in New York. Gold rallied to a 28-year high of USD 739 on Friday on technical buying and short covering amid inflation fears and a falling Dollar.
