HP to consider opening of PWD division in Gohar: CM
Mandi, Sep 24 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said his Government will consider opening of PWD division at Gohar in Mandi district to cater to the needs of the people of the area and to speed up infrastructure development in the Nachan Assembly segment.
Addressing an public meeting on the conclusion of Nalwari fair at Basa here last evening, he said that one ITI would be opened in the area and three bridges would be constructed at Jachh, Sainj and Nandi.
Mr Singh said that a medical college would be made functional at Mandi and another medical college in private sector at Hamirpur soon.
A self-contained Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Engineering college was coming up at Sundernagar, he said adding a degree college had also been sanctioned for Lamba thach in Chanhiot segment for which the government had sanctioned Rs five crore for its buildings.
The Chief Minister said that the state had witnessed a growth rate of 9.3 percent which was much above the national level.
