CJM court orders police inquiry against former LDF minister

Kochi, Sep 24 (UNI) The Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate court today directed the police to investigate the criminal complaint of cheating and forgery filed by NRI businessman K J Abraham against former minister T U Kuruvilla, who had to resign from the LDF government following the scandal.

Ernakulam CJM T K Madhy gave the direction following a complaint by Mr Abraham, who accused Mr Kuruvilla and his family members of cheating him of over Rs six crore in the Rajkumari village land deal.

Mr Abraham alleged that Mr Kuruvilla, his son and daughter sold him the land in Rajkumari village in Idukki district on basis of forged documents. When he demanded the return of the money, on suspecting foul play, the family refused to give it back.
