Itanagar, Sep 24 (UNI) The All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) has demanded that Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu take immediate action to check the influx of illegal immigrants into the state capital.

The union has expressed regret that despite its eight-point suggestions submitted to the state government last month, movement of these infiltrators have increased manifold.

In a representation to the Chief Minister, the union reiterated its demand to immediately identify the infiltrators and deport them from the state, union sources said here today.

The eight-point suggestions put forward by the apex students' body of the state included creation of separate department for issuing Inner Line Permit(ILP) and Restricted Area Permit(RAP).

They further demanded that the state government should have proper data concerning foreign nationals including Tibetans, Bangladeshis, Bhutanese and Chakma-Hajongs. Among their other suggestions mention may be made of their request for cancellation of all bogus Schedule Tribe certificates, ration cards, ILP and land allotment certificates, punishment to officers issuing fake ILP and RAP, check in illegal appointment of persons without valid documents, maintenance of computerised records on ILPs issued for one's easy access to know the actual number of outsiders staying in the state, among others.
