Hisar, Sept 23 (UNI) Under its ongoing campaign for replacement of electricity guzzler incandescent bulbs with energy efficient compact fluorescent lamps Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) today declared three more villages as cent per cent CFL villages in Haryana.
With Sagarpur, Turkiyawas and Bhadoj being declared total CFL users, the number of such villages having replaced the yellow bulbs with CFLs in the Narnaul circle has increased to 46.
A spokesman of DHBVN said here today that in Sagarpur, Turkiyawas and Bhadoj villages load on the transformers supplying power had reduced considerably.
"With the reduction in load on the distribution system in these villages, the quality of power supply has improved considerably," he added.
The DHBVN officials camping in these villages also organised CFL stalls and went from door to door along with Sarpanchs and other members of Panchayats to persuade the residents to replace the yellow bulbs with the energy-efficient CFLs.
