Jalandhar, Sep 23 (UNI) Capitalists were trying to break the age-old family system to sell their products, Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief K C Sudarshan said at village Khatkar Kalan in Nawashaher district near here this evening.
While addressing a public gathering at Shaheed Bhagat Singh's village during the inaugural function of Shaheed-e-Azam's birth centenary celebration, the RSS chief said that capitalists were trying to destroy the well-knitted joint family system to sell their products by enhancing individuals consumer power.
''Also some foreign-based churche are funding some TV channels in India, which display such types of programmes and serials, which are completely against our culture and joint family system,''he said adding that people should stood against such blind westernisation to save the culture.
Flaying Left parties for adopting double standard, the RSS chief said the Left parties were making tall claims of protecting interests of the farmers and common people but in reality their government in West Bengal did not hesitate to fire indiscriminately on them to acquire their land for capitalists.
The RSS chief further said despite modernisation, villages were still reeling under poverty and farmers committing suicides in different parts of the country due to the unjust system.
He said even after 60 years of Independence, Saheed Bhagat Singh's dream was still unfulfilled and exhorted the youth to follow the path shown by the great freedom fighter to achieve their goal.
