Punjab will reject Rs 675 per qtl MSP for paddy: Kanwaljit
Fatehgarh Sahib, Sept 22 (UNI) Punjab Cooperation Minister Capt Kanwaljit Singh said that SAD-BJP alliance government will not accept Rs 675 per quintal Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy crop.
''The government will reject MSP as the farmers will not even get the cost price of their crop'' Capt Singh said while talking to media persons after presiding over a function of truck union at Amloh in this district.
He claimed that previous Congress was not in favour of truck operators and had even planned to impose ban on truck unions but SAD did not allow them to do so.
He said that the government will announce a package for small truck operators.
