Kolkata, Sep 22 (UNI) After Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel's elder daughter Avani tied her nuptial knot with Bangalore based businessman Prashant Despande, second daughter Niyati will exchange rings with city-based businessman Samarth Parekh tomorrow.

Mr Patel, who was born at Kolkata, had earlier expressed his desire to have a groom from here for his second daughter and announced the engagement on September seven at a meeting here.

The marraige dates, however, have not been finalised yet, a source from the groom's side said.

Inspector General (Law and Order) Raj Kanojia told UNI that no special security cover was being provided to the guests, except for the Z+ security as Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee would be present on the occassion at ITC Sonar Bangla.

'' The hotel has its own security so we have not taken any tight or extra measures as we do not have the guest list yet. But yes some Union ministers would be present definitely,'' he said.

26-year-old Samarth is the son of city-based stock broker Utsav Parekh and an MBA graduate from a US university.

The ITC authorities today confirming the engagement said the function would start by 1900 hours onwards and all arrangements have been made for the gala evening.

''We are expecting about more than a thousand guests. This is a completely family affair and we are monitoring to check any untoward incident from outside. We are not allowed to divulge into details of the party, not even to the media,'' an executive in-charge of the event said.

Asked on whether the event could cause traffic congestion near the area, the hotel authorities said they have enough parking area and the function would not affect the commuters.

Praful Patel, his wife Varsha along with youngest daughter Purna, eldest daughter Avani and her husband, and son Prajay would be arriving here today for the engagement ceremony.

The Parekhs would also be hosting a party at ITC during the day.
