Jalandhar, Sept 22 (UNI) The Indian economy is dynamic and developing at a rapid pace which makes it an investment destination for other countries, said UK - based NRI Lord Swraj Paul here today ''However, India needs to continue with reforms and weed out corruption, which is eating into our system like cancer,'' said Lord Paul while speaking to media persons after inaugurating the Caparo PTU School of Manufacturing and Material Technology in Kapurthala district near here.
He said that education should be the main area of concentration for further development of the country.
On the Indo-US nuclear deal, he said that as per his knowledge, the problem was not with the agreement but with the coalition partners. ''In a democratic country like India, government should convince the allies and the society about the benefits to materialise the deal,'' he added.
He hoped that by 2009, his Caparo group, would emerge as a leader in the automobile sector in India.
