India U 18 side beaten in first practice match of Germany tour

New Delhi, Sep 22 (UNI) India Under 18 football team lost 0-2 to ugsburg FC Under 19 side in its first practice match of the training -cum-exposure tour of Germany.

Both the goals were scored in the first half -- by Stefen Mueller in the 22nd minute and Daniel Framberger in the 34th minute.

The visitors tried out all their players in the game. They created a few moves but could not convert the half chances that came their way at Paul Renz Sports facilities in Augsburg, according to information received here today.

The 24-member Indian team is on a 10-day exposure tour of Germany and is based in Augsburg. The tour is being sponsored by Bundesliga as part of an MOU signed with the AIFF last year.

Earlier this month, another 24-member India Under 15 team had a 12-day exposure tour of Germany, sponsored by Bundesliga as part of the same MOU.

The team had won all their three practice matches -- 2-0 against VFB Stuttgart, 2-1 against TSV 1860 and 2-0 against Augsburg FC. All the matches were played at Augsburg.

Under 19 team: Laxmikant Kattimani, Venkatesh Chetan Kumar, Raju Eknath Gaikwad, Nirmal Chetri, Nallappan Mohanraj, Minto Boro, Rajiv Ghosh, Jewel Raja Shaikh, Jagtar Singh, Khangembam Thoi Singh, Khangembam Jibon Singh, Salil Usman Cherkkaparambil, Sathyan Sabeeth, Jagdeep Singh, Malsawmdawgliana, Robin Singh, Amarwant Singh, Mohamed Dada Nabeel, Jagroop Singh, Subodh Kumar, Malsawmkima Chhangte, Sushil Kisku, Pradep Mohanraj.
