Dharamsala, Sep 22 (UNI) India 'A' claimed the two-match series against South Africa 'A' 1-0 after the last day of the second match being rained off here today.
Only the first day's play was possible in this four-day match with rains playing spoilsport and the tie being abandoned.
Not a ball was bowled in the last three days due to heavy rains and this morning, umpires S K Tarapore and G A Pratap Kumar, after inspecting the ground, called off the match at 1000 hrs as the outfield was waterlogged due to morning downpour.
South Africa 'A' were 264 for 4 in 70 overs on the opening day after captain Boeta Dippenaar elected to bat.
Indian coach Paras Mhambrey, however, was satisfied as his team won the series after clinching the first match in Delhi last week by an innings and 242 runs.
