Mumbai, Sep 22 (UNI) 'Desperate Housewives', global television's biggest show, having won six Emmy Awards, three Golden Globes and seven Emmy nominations in 2007 presents its third season from September 23 on Star World.
According to a release issued by STAR, 'Desperate Housewives' is a prime-time soap with a truly contemporary take on ''happily ever after,'' this hit series takes a darkly comedic look at suburbia, where the secret lives of housewives are not always what they seem.
'Desperate Housewives' is narrated from the perspective of Mary Alice Young - a perfect housewife who had everything a woman could want - until she put a bullet to her temple.
Now dead, and infinitely wiser, she peeps into the secret lives of all her neighbours, who are seemingly just as perfect, and just as unhappy as she was.
Apart from the Desperate regulars, the new season boasts galaxy of guest stars, including Dougray Scott (from Mission Impossible II), Josh Henderson (from Yours, Mine and Ours), Dixie Carter (from Designing Women) and Emmy-winning TV veteran Laurie Metcalf (Roseanne).
Mixing human insights and drama with biting satire, top notch comedy and dollops of mystery and intrigue, 'Desperate Housewives' is set to redefine premium English entertainment, the release further added.
