CM gives green signal for filling 8,000 posts in AP
Hyderabad, Sep 22 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy has given clearance for filling 8,000 posts in various government departments in the state.
According to official sources, authorities have sent proposals for filling up 10,500 vacancies in 22 departments for Chief Minister's clearance and Dr Reddy had cleared 8,000 posts.
Nearly 4,600 posts would be filled through the A P Public Service Commission (APPSC). Of these, 147 posts were meant for the coveted Group I services and the rest were from Group II, Gazetted, Non-gazetted, and Engineering services.
APPSC Chairman Venkatarami Reddy said apart from these, vacant posts in Medical and Health, Animal Husbandry, Excise and Fire services would also be filled and the notification for filling them was likely to be issued next month.
He, however, said the APPSC had not received any orders from the government on age relaxation.
