Bangalore Doordarshan News Editor K R Prahalad dies

Bangalore, Sep 22(UNI) Bangalore Doordarshan Kendra News Editor K R Prahalad died here today after a open heart surgery.

Mr Prahalad was admitted to Jayadeva Heart Hospital on Wednesday following heart attack and after open heart surgery last night he breathed his last today.

He was 53. He was survived by his wife, one son and one daughter.

Mr Prahalad, during his three decades of service, had served in various capacity in All India Radio, DAVP, Yojana and Doordarshan.

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy consoled the family members of Mr Prahland and placed a wreath on the body of Mr Prahalad.

Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Mallikarjun Kharge, Opposition leader in the Legislative Council H K Patil, Bangalore Press Club President E V Satyanarayana also condoled death of Mr Prahalad.
