Union ministry to go ahead with Nahan steel project
Nahan, Sep 21 (UNI) The union ministry of steel has decided to go ahead with its plans to establish a Rs 250 crore steel factory near Nahan even though the Himachal Pradesh Government refused to provide land for the ambitious project, local MLA and State LJP president Sada Nand Chauhan said here today.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Chauhan said the Union Steel Minister and National President Lok Janshakati Party (LJP) Ram Vilas Paswan was planning to lay foundation stone of the project on November 15 this year on a sprawling 200 bigah land.
The land was purchased by the Union Ministry from private sector, after Mr Paswan's request for land for steel industry was turned down by the Himachal government, Mr Chauhan said.
