Teledensity soars by 21.20% at 241.02 mln in August
New Delhi, Sept 21 (UNI) Teledensity in the country rose by 21.20 per cent at 241.02 million subscribers last month, as compared to 232.87 million during July this year.
In the wireless segment, 8.31 million subscribers have been added in August, while 8.06 million subscribers were added in July.
The total wireless subscribers (GSM, CDMA&WLL(F)) base reaches 201.29 million at the end of August.
However, the wireline segment subscriber base registered a decrease of 0.16 million at 39.73 million during last month.
The total broadband connections surged to 2.56 million by August-end, recording a growth of 0.09 million broadband connections.
