Kolhapur, Sep 21 (UNI) Shiv Sena leader and MLA Sadabha Sarvankar has said his party will oppose any move to relocate Mumbai's Siddhivinayak temple.

Talking to reporters, Mr Sarvankar said it was the state government's duty to provide adequate security to temples, but it had neglected this responsibility.

The Shiv Sena, he said, will provide security to the temple as the party workers are capable of protecting it from any attack. But, the party will not allow the relocation of the temple, he stressed.

The Bombay High Court had on Wednesday suggested that the temple could be relocated if it faced threats of terrorist attack.

Meanwhile, criticising Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's statements on Ram Sethu and Lord Rama, Mr Sarvankar said the former appears to ''have lost his mental balance''.
