Rajkot, Sep 21 (UNI) Emphasising that the existence of Lord Rama is a matter of faith among the Hindu community, well-known spiritual leader Morari Bapu said it is improper to search for scientific evidence in such matters.
Morari Bapu was talking to reporters here today on the eve of his marathon ''Ram Katha'', scheduled to commence at the Hajipir Dargah in Kutch district from tomorrow.
''Lord Rama lives in the hearts of the Hindus and there is no need to prove his existence,'' he said adding that evidences may be required by the courts but not by the hearts.
The controversy over Lord Rama's existence is like a cyclonic storm which will soon pass away, the preacher said.
The week-long ''Ram Katha'', to be narrated by Morari Bapu at Hajipur near the Indo-Pak border in Kutch district is being organised under the aegis of the Hanumant Seva Samiti.
Over the last few years, there has been growing fanaticism among the Hindu and Muslim communities which has affected Indo-Pak relations, Samiti spokesman Pradip Dave said, adding that the Ram Katha, ''Manas-Mohabbat'', by Morari Bapu will help spread the message of love under such circumstances.
