Rain washes out India 'A' vs SA 'A' third day's play

Dharamsala, Sep 21 (UNI) South Africa's hopes of squaring the two-match series against India 'A' virtually ended after the third day's play of the second and final four-day match was also washed out due wet outfield here today.

Heavy overnight rain which continued in the morning forced the umpires S K Tarapore and G A Pratap Kumar to call off play after making an inspection at 1130 hrs.

South Africans were dominating the match after the first day when they scored 264 for four in 70 overs. The second day had also been washed out by heavy rain.

Ashwell Prince was batting on 17 and Justing Ontong was on 22 at the close of first day.

India 'A' had won the first match by an innings and 242 runs.
