MetroPlus Lifestyle Show makes its debut in north

New Delhi, Sep 21 (UNI) Making its debut in the northern part of the country, a four-day Hindu MetroPlus Lifestyle Show has taken off here.

The show began in Chennai in 2004 and grew to cover three cities in 2005 and later expanded to seven cities in 2006.

The event will end on September 23 and has as many as 240 stalls, showcasing a range of lifestyle products, including consumer electronics, automobiles and accessories, furniture and furnishings, kitchen accessories, home appliances among others.

The Hindu MetroPlus features international presence with a special Thai corner bringing to India quintessential Thai jewellery, textiles, dry flowers and other handicrafts.

Participants from Pakistan are showcasing decorative pieces in onyx, a variety of fabrics, perfumes.

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit inaugurated the event.

Samsung, the chief sponsor of the event, is displaying its high-end LCDs and plasma televisions.

The associate sponsors for the event are General Motors, KVIC, FitLine, iRest, Kesar Gift Mart, Ahsan Perfumes, Prime Houseware and Classic Polo.
