Mumbai, Sep 21 (UNI) The special MCOCA court here has issued a proclamation directing three persons, who have been accused in the Malegaon blast cases, to appear before it within 30 days.

Special court judge Mridula Bhatkar issued the proclamation today after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the blasts, submitted before the court that the three -- Imtiaz, Riyaz and Mannwar -- were untraceable.

Three bombs had exploded at the Hamideeya Mosque and Mushavart Chowk in Malegaon on September 8 last year, killing 31 persons and injuring over 300.

Initially, the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) was entrusted the task of probing the blasts and the chargesheet was filed against sixteen persons who were arrested in the case. However, on December 22 last year, the Maharashtra Government had handed over the investigations to the CBI.
