Lord Rama's painting of entry gate at BJP meet Venue

Bhopal, Sep 21 (UNI) Amply demonstrating that 'Ram Setu' would be underlying them of discussion in the three-day BJP national executive meet that got underway here today, a painting at the entry of the venue depicting Lord Rama observing construction of 'Ram Setu' reveals that the party has taken a determined stand on the issue.

The painting depicts Lord Rama observing a squirrel aiding in Setu construction. A couplet from Ramayana has been written beside the painting.

The theme of 'squirrel' in the painting underlines management skills of Lord Rama besides appreciating a squirrel for making its contribution in the construction of 'Ram Setu'.

The party has adopted an aggressive stand on the issue. A proposal in this regard was expected to come up from senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi during the meet.

Meanwhile, BJP President Rajnath Singh inaugurated a painting exhibition related to Lord Rama's dwelling in forest during exile.

Mr Singh and senior BJP leader L K Advani inspected the exhibition before taking part in the meeting.

More than 250 paintings of Lord Rama from eleven states had been showcased. These included 44 paintings from Chhattisgarh and 12 from Madhya Pradesh.

The paintings had been collected by Shriram Sanskrutik Shodh Sansthan Nyas managing trustee Dr Ram Avtar. It took him about 25 years to collect these paintings.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and state BJP President Narendra Singh Tomar were present at the time of inaugurating the exhibition.
