New Delhi, Sep 21: For the 14th week in succession, the inflation rate fell further to 3.32 per cent for the week ended September 8 from the previous week's 3.52 per cent, primarily due to decline in prices of energy.

The annual inflation rate was at 5.52 per cent during the corresponding week of the previous year, an official statement said here today.

The index for the group comprising--fuel power, light and lubricant-- declined by 0.1 per cent the previous week due to lower prices of naphtha (two per cent). However, the prices of furnace oil (one per cent) moved up.

The group has weight of 14.23 per cent in the Wholesale Price Index.
