Former PCC Chief's son remanded to judicial custody

Hyderabad, Sep 21 (UNI) A local court today remanded K Venkat, son of former APCC president Keshava Rao to judicial custody till September 26.

Venkat, arrested in connection with the death of realtor Prasant Reddy at his residence, was produced before the Sixth Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court after the expiry of police custody.

When Venkat complained that he was not being provided adequate medical facilities, the Magistrate directed the officials to ensure that his medical needs were attended to.

The PCC chief resigned following the death of Prashant Reddy in his son's flat on August 25, as the opposition alleged that Venkat was indulging in criminal activities by using his political clout.
