Dock workers submit memorandum to Ahluwalia

Mumbai, Sep 21 (UNI) The All India Port and Dock Workers Federation (AIPDWF) today demonstrated before Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia, demanding that all projects submitted by the Mumbai Port Trust to the government should be cleared.

The demonstrating workers submitted a memorandum to Dr Ahluwalia and demanded that the government should clear the Offshore Container Terminal in the larger interest of the country.

Earlier, AIPDWF President S R Kulkarni met Minister for Food and Agriculture Sharad Pawar and Minister for Shipping, Road, Transport and Highways T R Balu requesting them to support the proposals of the Mumbai Port Trust Board.
