Consumer price index will come down: Ahluwalia
Mumbai Sep 21 (UNI) Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission Dr Montek Singh Ahluwalia today reiterated that consumer price index (CPI) will come down as there are enough reserves of the foreign exchange to stabilise the economy.
Speaking at the 172nd foundation day of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI) here today, Dr Ahluwalia said the inflatiion will be within the range of four per cent in the longer run.
However, he was sceptical about the overall growth of the Indian economy, saying, ''the inclusive growth which we are intending for is not happening.'' He said the key drivers in the 11th Planning Commission strategy will be to attain 'inclusive growth' with the continued economy growth which the country is witnessing at present times.
