Hyderabad, Sep 21 (UNI) The BJP's in Andhra Pradesh unit today made it clear that its appeal to the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) to join hands with it to realise separate Telangana state was not for ''its political survival.'' Addressing the press here, former Union Minister and Party Telangana Udyama Committee Chairman Ch Vidyasagar Rao said BJP President Rajnath Singh's appeal to the TRS to join hands with it to realise separate Telangana came from his ''heart.'' TRS Chief K Chandrasekar Rao had rejected the BJP's offer and said it was unifortunate and showed the TRS was only trying to gain political mileage by encashing on the Telangana sentiment.

The BJP, which was in power in several states, did not require the support of the fledgling TRS either in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal or Maharashtra in the next elections, he asserted.
