Hyderabad, Sep 21 (UNI) Claiming that the Congress Government in Andhra Pradesh had failed on ''all fronts,'' the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today said the situation in the state warranted imposition of President's rule.

Addressing the mediapersons here, Senior BJP Leader and former Union Minister Ch Vidyasagar Rao demanded an explanation from Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy as to why Article 356 of the Constitution should not be invoked by the Centre to dismiss his Government.

He contended that people had lost faith in the government in the wake of increasing terrorist attacks in Andhra Pradesh.

Demanding that the Congress Government come out with a White Paper on allocation of land to corporates and others, the BJP leader recalled the High Court had passed strictures against the government for allotting Wakf land to industry.

The state government had also failed to come out with 'concrete proposals' to rehabilitate thousands of workers forced to return from Gulf countries, he alleged.
