58 GTC, Army Boys Coy reach QF of Subroto Cup

New Delhi, Sep 21 (UNI) In a well fought contest 58 GTC, Army Boys Coy, Shillong defeated Town High School, Sundergarh, Orissa 2-1 to book their place in the quarter finals of Subroto Cup Football Tournament.

In the under-17 league round match, Shashi Toppo of Orissa team opened the score in 5th minute, but Bobo Singh and Jackie Chand Singh scored one goal each for Army Boys, in 34th and 38th minute, to take their team home.

In the second match of the day, OM Roy HS School, Shillong, defeated Kreeda Probodani School, Pune, 4-0. Dumlargki Phawa was the star for his team scoring a hat trick in 23rd, 28th and 30th minute.

In the third one sided match of the day, Guru Govind Sports College, Lucknow, defeated Prabhat HS School, Sarguja, by 7-0.

Sunny (27th and 43rd minute) and Abhishek (9th and 53rd minute) scored two goals each for their team.

In another match, Kushagra of Airforce Bal Bharti School, New Delhi scored a hat trick as his side defeated SGBSK Sahu SS School, Navada, Bihar 11-0.

Kushagra scored in 4th, 21st and 34th minute while his teammates Kipgen and Ashish scored two goals each in 27th, 28th, 5th and 59th minute respectively.
