100 children taken ill after eating midday meal

Bareilly, Sep 21 (UNI) At least 100 children were taken ill after they are midday meal at a primary school in Bhadpura block of the district.

The primary school headmaster Rashid Ahmad had been suspended and departmental action was being taken against gram pradhan Onkar Gangwar and the concerned education inspector, Basic education officer Manoj Kumar said here today.

The incident took place yesterday afternoon in the primary school situated at gram sabha Mauwa bazaar. The children were later taken to hospital.

Chief medical officer (CMO) Dr Rashmi Goyal today dispatched a team of doctors to the place for on the spot inspection.

Dr Goyal said all the children were doing fine now.
