Vajpayee to not take part in BJP national executive meet

Bhopal, Sept 20 (UNI) Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who was scheduled to arrive here to take part in the BJP national executive meet, deferred his visit, because of health reasons.

BJP Vice-President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told reporters here today that doctors had advised Mr Vajpayee to take rest.

He said BJP President Rajnath Singh today met Mr Vajpayee. He had agreed to Mr Vajpayee not taking part in the meeting in view of advise by doctors.

On whether the party would take Mr Vajpayee's guidance through video-conferencing, he said the party always received his guidance.

On whether senior BJP leader L K Advani would be projected as Prime Ministerial candidate, Mr Naqvi said no discussion would be held in this regard.
