Bhopal, Sep 20 (UNI) BJP National Vice-President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said the party would never compromise on 'Ram Setu' issue, as it represented national self-esteem and pride.
Alleging that the Congress was spreading false propaganda that the NDA gad taken a decision to demolish the structure, Mr Naqvi said no such decision was taken by the NDA government.
On suggestion by BJ President Uma Bharti to not play politics over the 'Ram Setu' issue, he said the BJP had not sought advise from Ms Bharti.
Regarding the VHP's statement that issue would be raised on the platform of 'Ram Setu Manch', he said the BJP would always raise an issue concerning national pride, as it was a nationalist party.
Replying to a question, the BJP leader said the previous NDA Government had formed 'Ayodhya' cell for resolving temple construction issue. However, it was dissolved by the UPA Government.
He added that the national executive meeting would not discuss about re-inducting political leaders and workers that had left the party.
