Mysore, Sep 20 (UNI) Karnataka Water Resources Minister and senior BJP Leader K S Eshwarappa today exuded confidence that his party will emerge victorious in the coming Urban Local Body (ULB) elections in the state.
Launching the BJP manifesto for the Mysore City Corporation elections here, he said his party had been doing well in both rural and urban areas in responding to people's problems.
Mr Eshwarappa urged the party workers to strive hard for the victory in the local body elections.
Referring to the transfer of power to BJP from its coalition partner JD(S) in the state, he said there was no doubt on the issue.
It was a 'gentleman's agreement' between Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and his party leader and Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, he added.
The controversy over power sharing issue would favour the BJP in the coming local body elections as a sympathy factor, he opined.
