HC reserves judgement on reservation

Chandigarh, Sep 20 (UNI) The Punjab and Haryana High Court today reserved the judgement on a bunch of writ petitions against reservation of 50 per cent posts in proposed recruitment of 10,000 teachers in Haryana government schools for candidates from rural areas, besides 20 per cent posts for the women candidates.

In their pleas, being heard by the division bench of Justice Ashutosh Mohunta and Justice Tej Pratap Singh Mann, the petitioners have challenged the constitutional validity of such reservation arguing it ran contrary to Supreme Court verdict.

UNI
