Chennai, Sep 20 (UNI) Being the first film after the launch of his political outfit Akila India Samathuva Makkal Katchi (AISMK), the expectations among Actor Sarathkumar's fans on 'Nam Naadu' (Our Country) are high.
Talking to reporters here on the release of the latest film, which would hit the screens tomorrow sans publicity, Sarathkumar described the picture as a 'true remake' of Malayalam hit 'Lion.' Not attaching much significance to the dubbed version of Telugu remake 'Udambu Eppadi Irukku,' which incidentally will also hit the screens tomorrow and reportedly has similar storyline, Sarathkumar said it was for the media and his fans to judge the film.
''It's a commercial film with a family-oriented subject laced with political overtones.
''The film which revolves around politicial pair of father-son is not targeted at anyone. I am doing the role of a Youth President of a polticial party with my father being the Home Minister.
''The story is about the son opposing father, becoming a Minister himself and on cleansing the system. Basically its a film on how politicians should adopt probity in public life and how to achieve it,'' the actor-turned-politician said.
The film was cleared by Madras High Court a couple of days ago following a row over the storyline.
