Patna, Sep 19 (UNI) The RJD today urged Bihar Governor R S Gavai to initiate CBI enquiry into the alleged tampering with vital HRD records.
The RJD alleged that records relating to execution of literacy drive and other matters at the official chamber of the then Principal Secretary of state Human Resources Department Madan Mohan Jha had been tampered with after his demise a few days back.
In a memorandum to the Governor, national spokesperson of the party Shyam Rajak urged him to intervene and initiate CBI enquiry into the incident.
He alleged that three senior officers, considered close to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, had tampered with records and data stored in computers to save the skin of some powerful personalities.
'' How these officers can enter into an official chamber of the Education Commissioner soon after his death and tamper with the the records despite the announcement of closure of all offices by the state government as a mark of respect to the departed soul, '' he questioned.
Mr Rajak said only CBI probe could expose those involved in the incident and they should be penalised.
