Jammu, Sep 19 (UNI) Police today said that the kidnapping of Vice president of Central India Trade Union (CITU) O P Sambyal could be a 'foul play'.
Superintendent of Police, Katra, Ashok Sharma told UNI, ''The matter is likely to b solved by tomorrow as 'foul play' behind the kidnapping cannot be ruled out.
However, sources today said that the CITU vice-president was allegedly abducted by some unidentified persons late last night from Katra town in Jammu and Kashmir.
''Sambyal hired a private taxi, Tata Bolero, from Basholi and went to Katra on Monday morning and while returning to Jammu, some unidentified persons forced him out of the vehicle near Domail and abducted him, sources said.
Meanwhile, SP Katra further said that police has started an investigation of the matter and they are looking for the driver, who has not even reached back to his home at Basohli.
Police however, also said that the entire matter seems to be a staged drama to create some sort of pressure on the rival unions and railway contractors.
