Incap installs Fuji-line automatic PCB assembly
Bangalore, Sep 19 (UNI) Incap Contract Manufacturing Services, a subsidiary of Finland-based Incap Corporation will triple its PCB assembly capacity with the installation of Fuji-line assembly at its Tumkur plant about 60 km from the city.
The company also plans to construct another factory building to supplement the existing infrastructure. The company was marketing its services to potential clientele in Southern India targetted customers who operate in industrial electronics, medical equipment manufacturers and players in telecommunications.
Briefing newspersons on the company's plans in India, Incap Corporation President and CEO Juhani Hanninen said the company had acquired the Tumkur unit of TVS Electronics in May this year at 7.4 million euros. The unit specialises in manufacturing electronic components and box-build products, such as power supplies and medical electronics.
"India plays a critical role in our global strategy of offering our customers a global partnership in regions where the market and demand are growing vigorously. Our goal is to double our Indian business. The revenues from its Indian subsidiary was expected to touch six million euros for the period of June-December 2007," he said.
The US Dollar 13 billion Indian electronic industry was growing at 25-30 per cent and the outsourcing industry was set to clock a growth of 30 per cent this year, he added.
