CONCOR presents dividend cheque for Rs 45.10 crore to Lalu

New Delhi, Sep 19 (UNI) The Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR), a public sector undertaking of the Railway, today presented a dividend cheque for Rs 45.10 crore to Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, representing dividend at the rate of ten per cent on the equity paid-up share capital of Rs 64.99 crore.

The Railway Ministry holds 63.08 per cent of the equity share capital of CONCOR.

The cheque was presented by CONCOR Managing Director Rakesh Mehrotra. Members and officials of the Railway Board were present on the occasion.

CONCOR's shareholders, at its 19th Annual General Meeting held on August 22, had declared dividend at the rate of 220 per cent (inclusive of interim dividend at the rate of ten per cent already paid) on the paid-up equity share capital for the fiscal 2006-07.

For the financial year 2005-06, CONCOR has paid to its shareholders a total dividend of Rs 722.94 crore, out of which the share of Indian Railways has been Rs 464.15 crore as against total dividend at the rate of 180 per cent for the financial year 2005-06.
