4 railway employees suspended after train skips halt
Nagpur, Sep 19 (UNI) Four employees of the Nagpur Division of Central Railway (CR) have been placed under suspension after a train skipped a scheduled halt at a station here today.
A CR spokesman told UNI that the employees were suspended after the 2833 Ahmedabad-Howrah Express did not stop at the scheduled halt at Ajni, a sub-urban station, and travelled on to the main station, last evening.
Those suspended were -the driver of the train Prabhakar Yadav, Assistant Driver Ajay Meshram and Guard Vilas Nandedkar, besides the Station Master of Ajni, P N Khobragade, he said.
The duty run of Yadav, Meshram and Nandedkar ended after the train reached Nagpur station, and they were placed under suspension along with Khobragade immediately afterwards, the spokesman said.
The train was detained at Nagpur station until the passengers who had been waiting at Ajni to board it reached there by another train, he added.
