Hyderabad, Sep 18 (UNI) Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today reviewed the latest situation following heavy rainfall in many districts of Andhra Pradesh.
The Chief Minister had a brief meeting with Commissioner Preeti Sudan and other officials in this regard.
Later, in a video conference with the Collectors of Karimnagar, Warangal Prakasam, Anantapur and Kadapa Districts, Ms Sudan asked them to be ready to evacuate people from the low-lying areas in case of more heavy rainfall and inundation.
She instructed the Collectors to continuously monitor the situation in the low-lying areas and take steps to prevent any loss of life, livestock or property.
The Commissioner said distrcits like Karimnagar, Warangal, Prakasam, Kadapa and Anantapur had been receiving bountiful rainfall for the last few days which were good for the state and the farmers.
