TCS mission-critical engagement for LMRA

Bangalore, Sep 18: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading IT services, business solutions and outsourcing organization, today announced that it has executed a mission-critical engagement for the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), an autonomous organisation established by Kingdom of Bahrain to restructure labour market regulations through strategic reforms.

Bahrain's labour market reforms were the responsibility of the LMRA, which coordinated it through different organisations.

Additionally, the LMRA was also responsible for market intelligence, policy development, customer interface and fee collection as well as providing information and communication to the stakeholders, TCS said in a release here.

TCS has developed and continues to support and enhance IT systems for the LMRA to enable it to offer transparent e-services to its customers. TCS had set up complex data integration and a composite mainframe system as well as software and application implementation which included an Expat Management System (EMS) that automated the administrative processes managing the complete lifecycle of an expat from the entry to the exit.

It has also set up a data warehouse project for market intelligence(MI) that supported collection and archival of labour market related data, analysis to support policy development and decisions for internal regulation of the labour market as well as a fee management system (FMS) for the services offered by LMRA. TCS was also working on developing a policy enforcement system for compliance monitoring and enforcement.

An application developed by TCS exclusively for the recent amnesty programme has been playing a vital role in capturing data and helping legalise the ex-patriot visa structure.
