Jaipur, Sep 18 (UNI) The monsoon session of the Rajasthan Assembly began on a stormy note today with the ruling as well as opposition party members demanding the inclusion of the Gujjars, killed during the reservation agitation, in the obituary reference. When Speaker Sumitra Singh started the proceedings with the obituary references, expelled BJP MLA Prahlad Gunjal and Lok Janshakti Party MLA Ranveer Singh Guda raised the demand.
The Speaker rejected it citing precedence and requested for maintaining silence during the obituary reference. But her request fell on deaf ears as both the ruling and opposition members, led by Congress' Govind Singh Gujjar, joined in the din.
Ms Singh then warned Ranveer Singh Guda of forceful eviction from the house if he continued to obstruct the proceedings. Mr Gujjar walked out from the house leading to restoration of order.
The House then condoled the death of 16 people, including that of former Prime Minister Chandra Shekar. The members also observed a two-minute silence for the people killed in the bomb blast in Hyderabad and 86 people killed in road accident in Rajasmand district.
