Popular Tamil actor Pandiyan hospitalised

Madurai, Sep 18 (UNI) Popular Tamil film actor Pandiyan was today admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of a city-based multi-speciality hospital for jaundice.

Though Pandiyan's condition was stated to be out of danger, he was kept under constant medical care, hospital sources said.

Noted Director Bharathiraja, in his blockbuster 'Manvaasanai', had introduced Pandiyan to the tinsel world. Pandiyan had also featured in super hit Tamil movies like 'Aanpaavam', 'Kizhakku Cheemaiyilae' and 'Citizen'.

A staunch supporter of the AIADMK, he had actively campaigned for the party during the last Assembly elections.
