New Delhi, Sept 18 (UNI) With the Diwali festive season round the corner, Philips Electronics is hopeful of reaping a rich harvest from the sale of domestic appliances(DAP), which could boost its sales by a whopping 30 per cent.
''We expect sales to increase by as much as 30 per cent as compared to last year in the domestic appliances division,'' Philips Electronic India Ltd Sr Director and Divisional Head (Domestic Appliances) Rakesh Sharma told UNI.
While it is normal for the consumer goods companies to register an upswing during the period, the consumer goods biggie will corner a big slice of the cake by capitalising on its brand name.

The domestic appliances segment of the company accounts for eight per cent of the company's revenue.
However, the company refused to comment on the new product to be launched during the festivity season.
