NHPC gets Rs 3,000 cr credit from PFC

New Delhi, Sept 18 (UNI) National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd (NHPC) today said it will raise Rs 3,000 crore as credit from Power Finance Corporation Ltd (PFC) to fund its various hydroelectric projects scheduled under 11th Five year Plan.

The funds will be utilised for the Stage II of the 800 MW Parbati Hydroelctric project in Himachal Pradesh, stage II of 132 MW Teesta Low Dam Hydroelectric Project in West Bengal and 120 MW Sewa Hydroelectric Project in Jammu and Kashimir, company said in a statement.

The sanctioned amount is available for drawal up to six months after commissioning of these projects and is repayable over a period of next ten years, it added.
